Both of these pictures are too too cute. I love them! I liked them so much I printed them. At work, I only have a black and white printer but they came out really good anyhow. In fact in some ways I like them better but then I've discovered I'm a black and white (in pictures at least) kind of person.
Where were these taken?
Now that I've sucessfully printed these pictures, I am going to do a college of all the pictres you post..the better to watch these wonderful, beautiful boys grow up.
They were taken at the petting zoo. That garden gnome is known in Holland as a kabouter, they live under muchrooms in the forest. Except the ones that live in your house and do the cleaning up. Anyway, that part of the petting zoo is a little patch of forest with kabouter statues and a little fort/house thingie and concrete mushrooms to sit on. And a teeter totter chicken to ride on.
It's a lot like the Children's Garden at the Botanical Garden in Atlanta, but then with animals.
Daan is afraid of the peacocks, we found out yesterday.
Of course Daan is afraid of peacocks...adults (with sense) are afraid of those things.
When I was a young girl, my friend, Sara, had peacocks at her parent's chicken farm and they let them walk around the yard and anyone could go up to one if they wanted to. (That was before law suits were so frequent). Anyhow those animals are mean..they will run after you if they want something. I hated those things even if they are pretty.
Get in line, man. I am trying to lure one in here to get rid of the bugs.
Kabouters are so small, they could just hit the bugs with hammers, I figure. Oh, no, that's dwarves with the hammers, isn't it? I'm so ethnically insensitive when it comes to mythological creatures.
